Walt
is a 1985 graduate of Bellevue High School, Bellevue, Ohio. His musical influences are as wide as a mile is long. From the Sisters and the
Brothers groups of the 1940's to groups like Styx and Heart from the 70'sand
80's. From Ray Charles to Billy Joel, Helen Reddy to Anne Murray.
Then, there was this guy named Elvis. With such a broad array of vocal styling,
and such a vocal range, Elvis was sure to be one in a million.
At a young age, Walt would try to imitate the singer. During these early years,
Walt was quiet and shy, his only audience members were the four walls of his
bedroom. It was during this time that he first got the urge to be an Elvis
"Impersonator".
At 28 years of age, Walt's little sister talked him into going out to a karaoke
club. That was the beginning of Walt making his dream a reality. To this date,
Walt still enjoys an occasional night out at a karaoke club, and now, just as
then, he will walk back to his table with his head down low. All this time and
experience has not changed this quiet, shy boy.
Johnny Angles, a Rock-n-Roll Night club in Sandusky, Ohio, was the debut of
Walt's Elvis Impersonating career. Singing to pre-recorded tracks, he enjoyed a
3 year running weekly performance.
Wanting to further his impersonation and take his act to the next step, he set
out to form a band. Many of the faces have changed over the years, but two of
the faces have remained the same, that, of then drummer, Glenn Armstrong, and of
course, Walt.
Currently, Walt has joined forces with Glenn, now bass player, to form what has
become Sanders/Strongarm Entertainment. Walt has given up on the impersonator
act, in favor of performing a genuine heartfelt Tribute to the World's Greatest
Entertainer.
Walt and Glenn have set out to change the face of the Tribute Artist industry
with a fresh new aspect. Although this formula is "TOP SECRET",
spectators will discover this formula for themselves by simply attending a Walt
Sanders and The Cadillac Band Concert. Only then will you experience what, we
feel, the Elvis Concert experience would be like today.
Walt and TCB have received the highest praises from members of Elvis' own
entourage. With these compliments to fuel their fire, Walt and Glenn set out to
take the Entertainment Industry by storm.

Glenn
Armstrong (Bass) was born into a musical family. Both of his
grandfathers were powerful musicians, one a guitar player/singer in church and
the other a respected trumpet player in New Orleans and Mississippi.
Glenn's uncles from the Armstrong side of the family were members of the
"Soul Brother's Six," the original writers who first recorded "Some
Kinda Wonderful."
His
father, the late Gene Armstrong, Sr.(pictured right), was an influentialmusician who, after two successful records with legendary Motown records,
settled in Sandusky, Ohio to raise a family. This resulted in a family
band which performed at many area functions and events in the late 1970's.
This is where Glenn got his start in music, at the age of 8.
Percussion/Drum set are Glenn's principal instruments. He played drums all
through his school years, including marching band, symphonic band, and jazz
band. He studied music at Ohio State University, but he is primarily self
taught. In 1995 Glenn began playing bass guitar while co-writing and
arranging original music. During this time, he first met Walt Sanders and
joined the Cadillac Band playing the drums. Glenn continued playing bass
after the original project and was asked by Walt to switch from drums to bass in
the Cadillac Band.
Glenn eagerly brings the rich tone of his Gibson "Tobias" five string
bass to the original sound of the Cadillac Band.
As to where he is right now, Glenn says "Walt and I have become close
friends over the years, both understanding the passion of what we do. Next
to the love of God and my family, playing music is the greatest thing in my
life. I am very thankful for the opportunity to perform with the Cadillac
Band. The Band has become an extension of my family."
